"Ok we see your flair, ETA 4 minutes."
Four minutes later the Pave Low was setting down.
The soldiers in back rushed out wearing full biowarfare gear. Fisher, also in biowarfare gear, walked out and walked right up to Shark Bait.
"Dr. Bait? Come with me we will get you on the chopper and out of here."
"OH FUCK!," screamed one of the soldiers and fired of a burst of gunfire at a zombie that been running right at them.
"Get on the chopper now!" Shouted Fisher.

bait had been ready he grabbed the spear and shot gun, the bags allready slung over his shoulders he ran as fast as he could for the chopper chain mail clanking and shining in the early morning. He dove onto the chopper dragging his gear with him.

Shark bait sat with his back against the chopper breathing heavily "Water... would be great" he said between gasps. he pulled the hood of the chain mail back his hair soaked with sweat, and Fisher handed him a canteen Bait took a few gulps then closed it and began removing his chain mail as he explained what had happened.Agent Fisher wrote:The last man got in the chopper and it lifted off right away.
Fisher moved over to Bait and leaned down to him.
"Are you alright? Do you need anything? Food, maybe some water? And since it is a long flight tell me about whats been happening to you since this mess started?"
"I've been running since yesterday morning the zombies, had allready taken most of San Francisco which was compleatly un-prepaired for any type of attack. They made every mistake in the book, they first ignored it then when things got worse did not bother to check to see who was infected before allowing them into shelters." by this time he had finished removing the upper half of the chain mail and then took off a heavy green coat that looked like it hadent been washed for far too long. he then looked up at the everyone in bio-hazard gear and said "theres probably no need for that now people who are infected have what looks like multi colored sores arround where they were bitten. The pathogen is probably transferd with saliva but i wouldent rule out blood either"
Bait then leaned his head back against the wall of the helicoptor and and closed his eyes everything seemed to be spinning and his head hurt horribly. "Basicly what we need to do is have everyone who has come in any close contatct with the zombies be evaluated and possibly quarneened. Then we need to some how move away from these densely populated areas, While i was driving I usually dident see more than one zombie per hour, and they usually were arround service stations and the like."

"Well the reason we are wearing the gear is that this might not be a freak happening. We cant rule out the possiblity of a biowarfare attack. If this thing started in one place then maybe. But it is happening everywhere in the US. From reports we have been getting San Diego, the island part, has been turned into a safe zone and is clear of any infection. Other parts of the world this thing has been starting up as well. Last reports had Britian almost overrun. Ireland is holding out, as are most of the other islands in the med."Shark Bait wrote:Shark bait sat with his back against the chopper breathing heavily "Water... would be great" he said between gasps. he pulled the hood of the chain mail back his hair soaked with sweat, and Fisher handed him a canteen Bait took a few gulps then closed it and began removing his chain mail as he explained what had happened.Agent Fisher wrote:The last man got in the chopper and it lifted off right away.

"I suppose a biological attack is possible, but i'm forced to wonder who actually has the technology to develope a disease like this, it doesent behave like any other disease I've ever seen, besides the reanimation thing the speed that it spreads is absolutly amazing. Quaranteened islands are a great idea but if possible tell them to be on the look out for marine mammels, I saw both dogs and cats infected which means that it can jump multiple species barriers, also bats could become a possible vector. With any luck we can learn something from the blood sample i was able to get, maybe compair it something in Colorado to determine exactly how related these incidents are."
Bait continued to fill the sergant in on the details about his ride from SF before eventually requesing some time to collect his thoughts and plan for when he arived in Colorado, in which time he promptly passed out and remained asyleep for several more hours.

Rye hung up and tossed his phone in his bag, flying towards the service door far too fast, aimed right at a lone zombie. He turned the car abruptly with a handbrake turn as the dead fiend gasped and growled into a fast-pace jog.Alyrium Denryle wrote: Ben answered

The rear end of the car spun into the zombie and dragged him round and flung him into the road. Rye threw open the door and fell out rather unceremoniously. He scrambled to his feet, picked up doomsword and his bag and yanked open the service door. He threw his belongings ni the room and yanked the bar on the inside of the door and it slammed shut. There was a buzz and a sound of the door locking.
Rye let out a great sigh of relief and his legs went to jelly and head dizzy. He dropped like a sack of spuds, hyperventilating in fear and shock....eventually his breathing slowed and his head cleared to the sound of the things banging on the door. That was quick of them.
He gathered his things and began to follow the pipes on the walls to civilisation...

I woke up about noon -school was out for four days, due to armistice. I booted up my comp as usual, checked out a favored web forum. I don't normally spend much time in N&P, but an odd condolence thread in OT prompted me too. apparently several members had been confirmed dead in the "catastrophes". Once I looked into News I knew something had hit the fan- every thread was something about "zombies", "catastrophe", "mass hysteria" or something related. I flipped on the radio (I had no TV) they were the national stations were reporting an out break of new ultra contagious disease, urging people to stay in their homes. The regional stations mentioned mass riots of infected, added that people should contact their family, arm themselves, and pray. The local stations were hysterical themselves, Some were using the airways as their personal confessional. Others were issuing contradicting reports -some firehouses were holdouts, others were death traps. Most simply weren't broadcasting. On one I hearded anguished screams and hellish blood lust before going silent.
I freaked, I turned off all the lights and electricity and ran up stairs to get some weapons. I'd never shot a gun in my life, but I had some I got from my father. I had 12-gage shotgun -no ammo-, a 7mm rifle -no ammo-, .38 pistol rounds -no gun- but I did have a 1911 with 2 & 1/2 boxes of .45 acp and 3 clips. I also had a huge .357 revolver with a half a box of ammunition. I loaded all the clips and put them in a shoulder holster with the 1911. I put the rest in a pack pack with the (loaded .357). I brought the rifle down with me -the shotgun was too fucking huge and heavy. From the fridge I got salami, cheese, ham, and all these food bar things and put them into a small cooler with some cold packs. I grabbed my blowtorch, ipod, and a stack of unread books. Last I took a strap and strung several gallon jars of earthquake water. I put all this on and prepared to leave. I think I acted so calmly because it hadn't hit home emotionally that there were ZOMBIES out side, all I knew was that I was dead in my apartment, even if they never came, I was alone and I doubt I could take it. I went out, grabbed my mountain bike and went to the parking garage. Inside was the first sign of the catastrophic besides the radio. A family was on the ground, covered in there own blood. They had been torn apart, and there flesh was hanging off, the organs fanned out on the ground. But there destination had been clear. They were taken from behind, and they were facing a range rover. I saw keys still in the fathers hand. I held the 1911 in my hand, in case the attacker came back. I pried the keys from the body and went to the range rover -it would make a far suitable vehicle then my Honda POS. I put all my stuff in the back except for the weapons (including my bike) inside I saw a stock first aid kit, a fire extinguisher, stacks of kids dvds for the mini tv, a GPS system and radio. The family had been pretty well heeled. After closing the back I went towards the door, but a scraping sound made me look around. What I saw was the family, torn to shreds, covered in viscera, propping themselves up, dragging themselves to their feet. And they noticed me. And they started to come towards me. I moved faster then I ever have. I leaped into the car, slammed the door and started it up. They reached me now, and started banging on the windows. I sped away striking a young girl, foaming at the mouth and crushed the leg of the father. I drove out into the city to see smoke every where, hear gunfire, and smell what seemed to be charred flesh with a hint of lime. I saw no people, only things that ran after my car for a few minutes in till giving up. I came to an untouched serberban neighborhood. I found a deserted gas station and better yet, a gun shop. I drove around honking, hoping to draw out any creatures while I could get away. There were none. I walked around looking in all the nooks and crannies with my gun. Then I went to the gas station and the convenance store while I filled up. It was even locked up, he people around here got early warning it seams. I broke the window and ransacked everything, getting all the snacks and tools I could. I got some gas cans and filled them up too. Then I tackled the gun shop. It was locked up as well, but I got in. It was more of a hunting shop then a gun nut's tavern. I ditched all my previous weapons, they hadn't been cleaned or used for years. I took several rifles from the stacks 7.62 bold action rifles and boxes of ammo. I was hoping to meet survivors. The prize was an AR-15, semi automatic. The 4 shelf clips were all 15 round but behind in a box was one 30. I also got several other 1911's, though the grip was much wider and it said para ordinance on it. As I left I took some packages on gun maintenance and some knives. Out side I packed all the stuff into the range rover. Now I was met with my first chance to think. The severity of everything was beginning to hit. I was in shock. I realized I needed to keep busy. I drove to a very large open lot and began to fill all the magazines.
I fell asleep. In a quiet part of town, and well armed, I fell asleep. It was an incredible stupid thing to do. It was dark now, darker then nights I'm used to because I was in such an empty lot. What woke me was a faint smell of flesh with a hint of lime. I rememberd it. I grabbed the automatic rifle and stood on the drivers chair, I saw shapes moving but I couldn't make them out. The gun gave me a false feeling of security. I called out “Who are you” that made them notice me. I saw the forms come running. I fired several shots in their direction, they certainly didn't hit, that was the first time I ever fired a weapon. When I saw that my gun hadn't done anything I grew afraid. I jumped into the car and started her up. The lights illuminated several abominations charging towards me. I revved and took off, I couldn't turn away in time though. One jumped on the hood, and its fist broke the windshield straight -this was a healthy zombie, not half devoured ones. By luck I made the right movements, the spinning and stopping of the car threw off the creature. I sped away, with one drive in mind- to find other survivors.
I flipped on the radio. Now a cold military announcer sounded. Most fire houses were surrounded or already fallen. A biologist hat set up a strong hold in his lab, but closer a small band and the military had set up a strong hold in a bank and the radio said they were fine as of 13 minutes ago. Now I had purpose and desperation didn't claw so sharply. I started driving towards it.

Rye dutifully removed his contaminated clothes down to his underpants and placed them in the slot thing... where they were cleansed
Then he was hit with the full array of decontamination showers and steam, and aerosol.
"Have you had any physical contact with the zombies AT ALL?

"Alright. The other strongholds are being overrun from the inside out, that means that proper quarantine proceedure is not being carried out. Therefore, you will need to be kept in isolation for around 24 hours to ake sure you do not manifest symptoms of infction. Sorry dude, but the rooms are reasonably comfortable, and best of all, tey are escape proof."Rye wrote:"Not really" he answered above the roar of the showers. It took me 20 minutes to get to the bank. It was surrounded by creatures. On the roof several people were taking pot shots at them. All windows and doors had been barricaded as far as I could see too. There was no way to get in. Now I had to make my way to the lab and hope it was open and assessable. I parked on a hill that I could cover and made a sandwich and ate some snacks. Then the car took me towards the lab, and the huge sign on top pointed towards a service door. Around it were several zombies, ether banging on the door or wondering next to it. I was a little ways away so they hadn't seen me yet. I couldn't keep moving, I needed a place to rest. I stopped the car a few hundred feet away, hoping they would see me in till I was ready. Luckily they didn't, and I got into position. A group were next to the door and it would be hard to miss even with my skills. The AR-15 spat out 10 rounds as fast I could pull the trigger, a few were wounded and 2 were missing their heads. Now all of them noticed me, and began sprinting towards me. I hoped in the rover and just before they reached me accelerated like a bat out of hell. I struck several, two got caught in the front grill and were dragged with me, I left the others behind but it would only take a few seconds for them to get back. I was ready to bail, my backpack held all the AR-15 and .45 ammo, with both guns shouldered with all the magazines and the knife in my belt. I screeched to halt out side the door and leapt out and banged on the door. By chance I look around just in time to dodge the strike of one of the zombies that had freed it self from the grill. I used the knife and shoved it into the things eye, spraying eyeball juice over my left hand. With my right I grabbed the .45 and blast the things head off. Instead of dealing with the other stuck on my car I kept banging on the door, the others were moments away from catching up.

Seeing the man trying to get in, Ben unlocked the door, pressed the button to open it and then, when the poor bastard tumbled in, pressed the otehr button to close and lock it. Just in time, because the zombies strted hitting the heavy door a fraction of a second after it locked.
"Greetings" said a strange looking geek on what looked like a securty booth.
"If you would please go to room 13 for a 24 hour quarantine that would be great. Remove clothing down to underpants, that way I will be albe to see if you have been touched or bitten. I am a bit paranoid you see, way to many zombie movies when I was growing up"

WHen he was stripping he was bombarded with the same decontaminants and his clothes were mechanically cleansedJaded Masses wrote:I barely heard the voice, and just rested a moment letting my body relax, unknowingly paralleling the last person. I went to the room and striped like the man told me, put my equipment on a table. I just hoped I could retrieve the rest of it from the car and get the food too.
"Have they touched you in any way shape or form?"

"I am not sure. I am not sure of the infection vector, but some diseases can be transmitted through physical contact. If it strts to become discolored, I may see what can be done wth amputation. If that fails, I will have no choice but to destroy you... it would probably be doing you a favor. But lets hope it doesnt come to that"Jaded Masses wrote:"Yes, when I stabbed one out side it's eyeball juices got on my hand", I held up the glistening arm. "Why, is there a problem?" I asked, mildly fearful.

I started to clean of the zombie juice in the sink, rubbing soap, disinfectant and regular alcohol on it. Then I reloaded the 30rd magazine in the AR from my backpack. Damn the biologist, thinking he can play god with me.... I snaped the magazine back in.

"I can understnd what you are going through. But you see I am a pragmatist, and I cant risk this building being overrun. I suppose introductions are in order, and I can probably afford to leave the booth for a while. I will be down in a moment and I can explain things to everyone"Jaded Masses wrote:"Yes, when I stabbed one out side it's eyeball juices got on my hand", I held up the glistening arm. The chopper set down on the landing pad. It had been flying nonstop since it left the base.
Fisher walked out of the chopper and looked back at Shark Bait as he stepped out.
"Dr. Bait, come with me we have a helicopter waiting to take you to the research lab."
Fisher and Bait boarded the chopper along with four fully loaded soldiers.
The Chopper lifted off and headed towards the lab.

He is fine. We are on the way to drop him, supplies and a four man security detail at your lab. The reason for the security detail is that you are our best hope for solving this at the moment.

And for it, I thank you. have been reylying on... automated defenses such as decon showers and sealed rooms. Having several men with guns will be... a boon. Let it never be said I dont love the US military. Minor update, I have a refugee who could possibly be infected. it depends on whether or not the agent can be contracted through physical contact. He is in quarantine

Ok, we are a two minutes out. What entrance should my men use? And will they have to go through decon? They have been at the base since before this mess started. Oh, and doctor, I asked your friend and wanted to ask you. Is there a chance this was not natural? Could this have been Bio-Warfare?
