Have you found the Altar of Storms in the Blasted lands? I found it last night and my jaw droppedAlan Bolte wrote:Well, at least now we're getting a flightpath at Taurajo. Can't remember if it was in this patch or gonna be in a future patch. Makes the Barrens suck so much less.
But yeah, the world is fucking huge. And there are several zones that aren't even open yet, not to mention an entire continent that's not even on the map yet. I'm not clear on how people get bored with travelling when questing, I'm at level 50 and I still love looking at the artwork. Seems I notice something new every day.

For I dipt into the future, far as human eye could see,
Saw the Vision of the world, and all the wonder that would be;
Saw the heavens fill with commerce, argosies of magic sails,
Pilots of the purple twilight dropping down with costly bales;
Heard the heavens fill with shouting, and there rain'd a ghastly dew
From the nations' airy navies grappling in the central blue;
Saw the Vision of the world, and all the wonder that would be;
Saw the heavens fill with commerce, argosies of magic sails,
Pilots of the purple twilight dropping down with costly bales;
Heard the heavens fill with shouting, and there rain'd a ghastly dew

Yep. It was part of the 'Buy One, Get One Free' special at the Hellfire Emporium.
...And the Dark Portal is simply fucking cool. Needs some Infernals, but then again, what isn't cooler with Infernals?

So you mentioned...it's gotta be either a driver conflict or some bit of hardware that WoW hates, and as I haven't had even a smidgen of a similar problem...

I get very occasional hard-locks, maybe once or twice a week, usually after playing it for 6+ hours straight. Not perfect, but not bad at all.

Found it in my low 30s. I snuck in by going through the unsculpted areas you can access by heading up the mountains south of the Rotting Orchard in Duskwood. Got to watch a Kazzak raid through my spyglass just out of luck. Got a great view of Kharazan on the way.Aeolus wrote:Have you found the Altar of Storms in the Blasted lands? I can't believe you want to set Deathwing onto the world. There isn't much that can even harm him, considering his supra-strong Goblin made armour of DOOM.White Haven wrote:Well, given that the expansion pack is rumored to be named 'Burning Crusade,' I fully expect more direct intervention from the Legion. Could be via the Scourge in Northrend, could be from the Silithids, could be directly, by way of portal invasion, could be via the Black Dragonflight...or, if Blizzard really wants to fuck Azeroth up, all of the above.
However, the Mac-Daddy of all evil Dragons would be a sight to see.
