Unwanted folder keeps coming back

Okay to continue my dying hard drive story, I managed to recover all of the important stuff, got a 400 GB Seagate, copied everything on the old drive to the new drive, tossed the old one, and am now happily using my extended storage.

BUT, there's this weird problem. Maybe because the old drive was so fuggered up it persisted like a ghost refusing to go peacefully or something, but there's this directory with one unneeded file in it that keeps reappearing even after I delete it on my new drive. I even did scan disk and that folder keeps reappearing.

At least it's nowhere near as bad as folders DISAPPEARING, but still it's kinda getting on my nerves. Any suggestions?

What folder is it?

If by what folder you mean is it a folder that Windows generates, no it's not one of those kinds of things, but I think I got rid of it. If I didn't, then I have a program called File Shredder. And if that doesn't work, at least I have a good idea which program of mines could be causing it.

So we'll see.

But you won't tell us the folder name. Is it embarassing? :)

D:\Tmp\a\temp\flashgotblahblahlotsoflettersandnumbers

Basically everything starting from a and down towards that looong folder. The single file inside that flashgotblagblah folder is something called "flashgfblahblah.exe.test" and such.

Flashgot is a Firefox extension, isn't it? Are you running that extension?

Why do you have a temp folder sitting on a hard drive that doesn't have your OS on it?

I do run that extension. Thus, if it comes back again I'm going to fiddle around with FlashGot.

I just named it that way. Just needed some temporary directories in my old drive (I still do in my new one, but I moved them around and renamed them a bit. It's just that one old one that keeps popping back up).
