An SD.net bf2 clan?

Do we have a Bf2 Clan? Anyone want to start an evil alliance? Is this too far fetched?

Someone just got BF2. There is no actual clan on either SD.net or SB.com. Just a bunch of us from both forums that play.

I wouldn't be opposed to joining such an endeavour if there was enough support for such a thing. I haven't played in awhile and it's currently not installed due to a variety of reasons but I think it'd pretty cool if we at least all hopped on a server and made a squad or two of Doom.
Edit:
Me.

I've been thinking of BF2 for a while and at least this way I know I wouldn't be working with absolute internet-tards. What version, mod, update, etc., would we use?
Lastly, it's still a very active community? BF2142 hasn't siphoned off too many people? Or best-case-scenario, a good number of lamers, hackers and cheaters moved on to the newer game?

I'm down. My DoD Clan used to do this and I can remember times when we'd get twelve or so people on a server and race around maps in caravans of ground vehicles, capping and raising hell. I really, really miss doing that.

How would we go about doing this? I'd try to lead, but my logistics skills are lacking.

Snag Xfire or some such and start planning these things over the instant messaging system or start a thread/use this thread to post dates that you should be on and find a server to hit. Ventrillo or Teamspeak would be aces if people have mics too since you can idle in there and plan what the hell is going on with voice chat.

Simplest thing to do is to create a Team Speak server and get people together on that. Get about a dozen people who play semi regularly and you will start to find people in Team Speak all the time.

Well I broke down.
I'll gladly be the token fucking noob in this clan, though I'm not lacking in general FPS experience.

For anyone interested, I know a Team Speak server that could be used in the interim. I play on it all the time with Chris O'Farrell and Douglas. Vympel is getting brought into it as well.

If I talk to my clan leader, I might be able to give you guys the password to our vent server. Gotta talk to him first.

This sounds... Interesting.... Does it involve a custom mod? Linked Maps?

Custom mod, yes. Linked maps, not really. There's a campaign map where the generals on the offensive get to choose where to attack next (which map to play) but there's no connection between the strategic map and the map that's played (For example we played Stalingrad in the middle east).
If you want more info.(They haven't updated the map from last campaign yet)

That sounds damned neat. I'd actually plan the campaign before hand, have each side pick a pool of maps and then have the opposing side pick the which to play on if they win the prior. And if they lose a map that was in their favor, they drop back one. It'd be long and hard, but damned interesting.

Me and Brun played a few rounds together and I've been trying to get him to play PRMM with me, but he keeps shafting. We need a better way to organize other then me asking him in the chat.
