Actually, the problem this time is not getting other people presents...It's what they should get me!

I am totally out of the loop on the gaming/software/hardware market. Any ideas for stuff in stores right now that I can't live without?

(Incidentally, I'm a strictly PC guy. Sorry to all you PlayStation and Xbox fans out there)

On my list so far:
-A headphone with a boom mic
-Galactic Civilizations II: Dread Lords

This is a serious issue! If I don't give my family suggestions within 24 hours, they have threatened to give me coal and an uncomfortable sweater!

Ask for gift certificates to Best Buy.

Seriously, I don't know what else you expect us to tell you, when we don't know your tastes in games and electronic toys any more than your parents.

Do you like strategy games? Medievial 2: Total War, Space Empires V (of course in the thread I've posed, I've read that it's still buggy although knowing the company it'll be patched), Civilization IV, Empire at War, and a whole host of strategy games are out.

Missed out on alot of shooters? Counter-Strike: Source is only 20 bucks, I think Battlefield 2 finally hit the 30 dollar pricepoint.

Need a better videocard? NVidia's 8800 GTX is out there, and it'll crush any PC game in existence.

Like Darth Wong said, it's hard to suggest things to you without knowing what you like, but those ideas might kick start you.

www.gamespot.com has alot of PC games reviewed that you can read about and browse.

And any PC hardware website will give you the low down on what's hot.

Half Life 2 2006 Holiday Collector's Edition comes with Counter Strike Source, Half Life 1 Source, Half Life 2, and Half Life 2 Episode One. So it's like getting 4 games for the price of 1 for $50.00. I picked it up the other day myself and it's not too bad a deal.
