Sometimes when i start my computer the mouse won´t work. If i then unplug the scanner or the WLAN USB Stick the mouse will start working. If i plug the scanner or WLAN stick back into the computer the mouse will continue to work but only sometimes. Sometimes it will stop working.
USB sticks don´t work at all besides one very old one.

I reinstalled Windows XP but that didn´t do anything. I updated the Mainboard drivers but the problem remains.

What could this be?

Did you update the BIOS on the motherboard?

BIOS. Ok, I´ll try that as soon as i´m back from christmas vacation. Thanks.

And also insure that you have the proper USB drivers installed (should be with the mobo drivers).
