Here's the story, Basically I bought 3 games today at best buy and none of them will install as in setup does not even run. They all say that the disk is not compatible with windows yet the box clearly recommends windows. In case you were wondering the games are Axis and Allies, Company of heroes and Rush to Berlin.

I suppose the obvious questions would be: What specs does your computer have and which version of Windows are you using?

What system recommendations do the games list on their boxes? What type of video card do you have? Etc. It's hard to offer any help without any information to go on.

Okay. . .getting a bit warmer. Now what type of graphics card do you have, and tell me exactly what kind if any error messages you got when you tried installing. Also, post a link to the exact product from amazon or something so we can get a better idea of whether or not your system meets the requirements to run it.

Im not sure on the graphics card but the message when I run setup.exe is: The disk cannot be read. There is either an error with the disk or it is not compatible with windows.

The funny thing is that the box clearly states that the game is for windows X which is what I have.

It sounds like either a bad disk or your dvd drive is fucked. Just going by what little info I've got. Try taking it back for an exchange, maybe.

Id go with a fucked DVD drive sine the chance of getting 3 buggered disks are unlikely.

Try it in another computer if possible, and try using installing other games to see if anything else comes up.

Do you have enough free space on your hard drive?

That wouldn't affect the disc being read.
