Total Annihilation - War at Sea mod

After finding my CD's, installing the game, and wondering how the divine gameplay survived such low resolutions, I gave this a whirl.
The available version's pretty good, here's a few thoughts:
- Ship fire control is clearly performed by a team of blind hedgehogs in a bag. Seriously, these guys can't hit the broadside of a barn.
- Ship Models are pretty good, considering the engine
- Unless you're on Seven Islands, expect resource flows to bite hard. Ships takes silly amounts of energy to move and firing costs metal.
- Various named battleships amuse me. They're identical, but they've got names.
I quite liked it, it'll be interesting to see if anything ever comes of it.

Vanas, thanks for the feedback - sounds like it's fun
I may have TA lying around on a CD from a gaming magazine, I'll have to check that.

Oddly enough, there's no ground combat at all in the mod, but the ships have pretty good ranged to make up for it.
As for 'is it worth buying TA', it's always worth getting TA. It's one of the finest RTS games ever made.
