Do you own/have access to a US PS3?Dominus Atheos wrote:What the fuck are you talking about? 1.5 is for Japan only, and it only adds contactless payments.
You know what, how about you provide a link to the changelog of the update for the US consoles then? Hmmm? I'm sure news like this would be covered somewhere eventually.Xisiqomelir wrote:Do you own/have access to a US PS3?Dominus Atheos wrote:What the fuck are you talking about? 1.5 is for Japan only, and it only adds contactless payments.
No? Stop shitting up the thread, then.
Presumably yes. Of course, given the fair and balanced in-depth coverage Xissy gave in all three of the lines in his first post, we can't really be sure.Spanky The Dolphin wrote:Did they fix the murky pixelisation problems that the PS3 has when playing PS2 material?
Link (it sure is nice when people include links, isn't it?)The latest PlayStation 3 update has hit for North American users, bringing PS3 firmware to version 1.50. The full change log is, sadly, noticeably absent—please make this available with each update, Sony—but the most noticeable change comes in the form of fixed display of PSone and PS2 games not running in progressive scan mode. That's right. Former eye-poisoning backward compatable games are now fixed. I just popped in Okami and Metal Gear Solid 3, with both displaying on par with their original hardware platforms. In fact, they look pretty fantastic. Amen!
Excellent news, meaning one less reason to have my North American PlayStation 2 hooked up to INPUT 2 on my HDTV. Thanks for fixing this, Sony!

Maybe he means that Derek Smart struck up a deal with Sony, and now all of the Battlecruiser games work flawlessly with the PS3, which I have to admit would be QUITE the feat, making that interface workable with a gaming controller.
Cool, thanks for the article.Dominus Atheos wrote:Despite Xisiqomelir being a retarded asshole, I'll post the article I found anyway.
Hah, that's just what I was thinking: "screw Xis, I'll just look for it on Kotaku..."Dominus Atheos wrote:Despite Xisiqomelir being a retarded asshole, I'll post the article I found anyway.
*article and link from Kotaku*
Sony does not provide changelogs in English for the English firmware updates. On a sidenote; that link confirms there is a 1.5 update avaliable and no it doesnt show up on the damn Sony PS3 website(at least when that article was written).Hotfoot wrote:You know what, how about you provide a link to the changelog of the update for the US consoles then? There's a shady (extremely, IMHO) reason for this: Sony never admitted to the problem. Listing it in a changelog now would be tantamount to an admission, so they're just going to act like it never happened.Xon wrote:Sony does not provide changelogs in English for the English firmware updates.
