Mount and Blade worth buying?
Well, I downloaded and played the demo for Mount & Blade on an acquaintance's recommendation, and enjoyed it quite a bit. But it seemed that by the time I got to level 6 (the cutoff level) the gameplay was getting pretty stagnant, with no more content to explore. Is there enough additional content to merit buying the license key, or should I just keep the demo around for a bit of pirate-slashing fun whenever I'm in the mood?
Vanilla has no content at all. There are plenty of mods if you want a traditional adventure or war thing going on (1066, LotR, Storymod etc), but the appeal of the game is really chopping guys up Dynasty Warriors style. If you're looking for Baldurs Gate it's not really for you.
However, the level six cap is laughably low - you can't use most of the equipment of venture into most of the interesting places. Sure, killing river pirates gets old pretty quick, but at level six you haven't had the chance to do anything more interesting. There have been many calls to raise the demo limit for this very reason.
