Gamespy article
Personally, I don't get it. It's the same old RTS, you should be able to paint the terrain, plop down resource points, plunk a few buildings down and hey, look at that, you're done. Of course, the damn thing brings my system to a grinding halt just trying to run it, so I can't give you any more details about it yet. I have to wonder if it tried to unpack the entire game the first time it ran.
It's key to note that this is for making multiplayer maps only, even though the massive manual will tell you how to make singleplayer campaigns. At least there will be mod support later, just not now.

Okay, so now we have a map editor for C&C3, and sticking with the history of the original franchise, it's apparently a pain in the ass to use, with over a hundred pages of instructions on how to use it.Command & Conquer 3 Map Builder Out Now (PC)

If you're a die-hard Command & Conquer 3: Tiberium Wars fan you've probably already blazed through all the single-player campaigns the game has to offer and are already a pro at mixing it up online with other like-minded gamers. Chances are you're also ready for something new. Your desires will soon be fulfilled because Electronic Arts has announced that the Worldbuilder for C&C3 is now available for download straight from the official C&C3 website.
This is the same toolset that the game's designers used when developing C&C3. The download includes an instruction manual that's over 100 pages long. You'll be able to use this program to create original skirmish maps and multiplayer maps. We can't wait to see what the C&C3 community comes up with.
