Lenovo has just come out with the T61 and R61 ... and damn, they look sweet. They make my T60 seem, well, obsolete. The most awesome part? The LCD has a roll cage now to protect against impact! It's the one weak point remaining in my T60!
For more information on other nifty innovations,
Lenovo's blog has some details.

That's hot.
Seriously, rollcage for the screen? Totally rad!
I've been thinking of getting a laptop, and I'm leaning towards a Lenovo. How hard would it be to get a new one with XP on it instead of Vista?

It's an option.

I'm seriously considering getting one of them. Though I wonder what Apple is coming out soon.
Is the NVidia 140M a DX10 part or DX9?

If that's the best one that they could find to take a picture of then the line has some serious problems. It's missing half of its casing!

That is absolutely beautiful. I'm a big IBM/Lenovo fanboy, and that just adds to my fanboyishness towards their products. I had a conversation with someone a while back who was convinced that Lenovo was ruining the T series and making the T series laptops flimsier by replacing the old rubberized magnesium shell with a plastic one...I'd rather like to have been able to show him that photograph...

Sadly, the T61 doesn't seem to come in non-widescreen versions. My T22 seems to be the perfect size, but sadly they don't make them in this size anymore (X series are too small and expensive). The T60s don't come w/ nvidia graphics while the T61's do.
