Anyone playing Defcon?

I randomly discovered this game yesterday while looking through the shelves at the local EB. We quickly decided it was sufficiently awesome that we needed to buy two more copies of the game to better facilitate mass death, and we've been playing it ever since.
After searching, I found and read the prior threads on the game from a few months ago, and I'm wondering if anyone wants to play or if there are any key strategies I should be aware of for more efficient annihilation.

Stark Bomber swarm still works as of 1.3.
I'm up for a game.

I'll be in if we can arrange a time. I love me some DEFCON.

Let me know what strategies work
I kept suffering TBO. Very bad.

I think I'm missing something with Defcon, I bought it and played it for about 2 nights, but was consistently bored. It's just... not very fun, after the gimmicky 'lolz I killed ur millionz' passes. I haven't played online though, because I only ever try multiplayer if it's playing someone I know, else to me it's the same as playing the computer.

I constantly play it and wipe out China and United States as the USSR. One of the hardest to play, but pretty manageable if you concentrate your swarms from both Atlantic and Pacific and bide your time.

The great thing about Defcon is an active modding community

...it's a shame that Defcon's hardcode prevents bombers from reaching their full potential

Well. not playing online is why you're bored. The cpu is intended more as a training computer, the game is designed for online play.

Defcon is about lying and tension. Playing the computer is pretty boring, it's just there to test strategies and learn when to micro and when not to.
Stas, I think both the USSR and 'Asia' are difficult to play due to their size. Aside from a radar post in Siberia, I usually abandon 80% of Russia and concentrate on the western quarter. Just like abandoning Tehran as 'Asia'.
I'm interested in a game, and I should be free a bit this weekend.

I'll play, but be warned, I am probably the worst DEFCON player in the history of mankind. I often only barely beat the computers.

What, you can beat them in 1v1? That's a fair cry above my level (Though to be fair, I've only played about 2-3 times and that was half a year ago). I'd also be up for a game next weekend when I'm home
