Was wondering if anyone picked this up yet, saw it the store and was debating on whether to buy it or not. It's gotten good reviews so far and looks interesting.

Isn't it basically WoW with knobs on? Some of the additions sound interesting, but I'm not sure it's enough to either avoid the WoW problems or be worth playing instead of WoW.Mr CorSec wrote:I play on the Europe servers, it's not a bad game, makes a refreshing change from WoW. Well, bugger that then. I know that WoW at least offers trial discs and a download of the client in various places, I thought there might have been something like that here. Oh well.Stark wrote:Isn't it basically WoW with knobs on? Zod, it's an MMO. There are no 'playable demos', there are 'trial keys'. Some like EVE have a fairly constant distribution of 14-day trials, and others (like WoW, I believe) don't. Hilariously, many MMOs don't allow downloads of the client at all, forcing you to buy a physical box for no reason.
From what I've read and heard from friends who play, it's basically WoW with no real solo options.Stark wrote:Isn't it basically WoW with knobs on? Soloing is still viable, just not for the epic quests (following parts of the LotR story), the upside it has over WoW is theres little need to grind the levels, at least as far as I've encountered.Flagg wrote:From what I've read and heard from friends who play, it's basically WoW with no real solo options.Stark wrote:Isn't it basically WoW with knobs on? I'm a 65 warrior in WoW and I really haven't done any xp grinding.Mr CorSec wrote:Soloing is still viable, just not for the epic quests (following parts of the LotR story), the upside it has over WoW is theres little need to grind the levels, at least as far as I've encountered.Flagg wrote:From what I've read and heard from friends who play, it's basically WoW with no real solo options.Stark wrote: Isn't it basically WoW with knobs on?
