STGOD: New Mod Vote

The needs of the game change as the game unfolds and in this case we have two out of three mods being Sol based powers and a lot of action taking place in the Sol System. This means there's a lot of mod work and not enough uninvolved mods to go around. As such, the proposal before the august body of players is to add an additional mod, in this case Hotfoot, to the mod body as all the current mods think they can work with him and we prefer Nitram to be at least half way sane.
Equally important is the opinion of the players, without which there is no game. So give us your opinions on installing Hotfoot as an additional mod.

I support the addition of Hotfoot as a fourth mod completely. I see the danger which having all the powers being "involved" represents, and while Hotfoot and I don't see eye to eye on everything, I would feel more comfortable having him to check everyone, myself included.

Adding Hotfoot would be a wise move. We should have at least one Mod who doesn't have a direct stake in their own rulings, especially in regards to terrestrial matters.

Agreed, in particular given the Sol-centric plotlines going on.

I need someone to help share the load in Sol. Damn Solians.

Abstaining for the moment. Having an even number of mods could present problems when the mods don't agree.

That's a legitimate concern, but hasn't been a problem so far. We seem to reason with each other just fine and defer when appropriate. The work load for Sol is our only real problem so far.

Voted.
And if Hotfoot is willing to take up the mantle, I have no problem with him being mod. Despite some of his naysaying in the beginning, I think he can lend a valuable hand in this game.

That's the other thing; Are we going to need four mods once the current situation is resolved?

Vote for Hotfoot, so Nitram will stop ranting and raving about the stupid things happening in-game because people aren't talking to each other.
I'm sick of hearing it, people! Give my hubbie some help here!

The odds are, in any given situation, at least one mod will be at least peripherally involved and recuse himself. Also, Sol doesn't show any sign of ceasing to be a center of action and the general tempo of the game isn't likely to slow down.

I support the idea, as I agree it will add balance.

I think it is a good idea. I am pretty sure if we ever get in a position where it's 2 on 2, mod on mod action the game is pretty much going to collapse shortly afterwards. A non-involved can't hurt, and he gives us someone to run our sneaky, sneaky, sneakitudes through. If we feel like being sneaky.

I vote yes, on the condition that any 2 vs 2 mod disagreements are solved by a no-holds-barred tag team cage match.

Worst possible case scenario, we can either bloat out to a fifth mod if things polarize 2v2, or we can just say 'fuggit' and toss a coin. Or an AM head.

With a little over half the players having voted and Hotfoot's nomination enjoying African dictator levels of official positive support, it would seem he's a new mod.
Take a bow.
Now get to work slave.

Very much agreed. If I'm going to try to frame a Sol power for attacking the Wanderers or vice versa, I need some kind of quasi-neutralish authority to appeal to when they smack the crap out of me.
