Recommend a 360 game

I'm in the market, as usual, to spend some cash on my 360, and I'd like a few suggestions. I have, and enjoyed, Hitman: Blood Money, Gears of War, The Darkness, Lost Planet: Extreme Condition, Armored Core 4 and Rockstar Presents: Table Tennis. I'm considering Splinter Cell: Double Agent and Dead Rising.

Dead rising is awesome as well as Rainbow Six Vegas (and i noramaly don´t like this type of tactical shooter).

Ghost Recon Advanced Warfighter is good.
Halo 3 by the end of the month.

Dead Rising.
Cannot recommend it enough.
Get this achievement and I shall worship you:
Zombie Genocider (20pts)
Defeat at least 53,594 zombies.
That is the entire city that needs to be depopulated.
I love that game so much.
GRAW 1 and GRAW2 are both totally worthwhile and I'd love someone to play GRAW2 or Vegas with!

And also, with Dead Rising.
Running along the heads/shoulders of a mob of zombies from point to point while wearing a LEGO head, with a toy lightsaber, in an outfit that appears to be a kid-size sailors costume?
That is what makes Dead Rising great.

And hell, it's only fifty bucks due to becoming a classic game.

Oh, I am so there.

I've considered
Vegas, actually. Because it's in Vegas, and I love that place.

Vegas is pretty sweet. 4 player online co-op campaign, plus the usual tango hunt? Hell yeah. Plus, of course, the various versus modes.

- killng cyborg godzilla and Giant spiders
nuff said

That ad was strangely convincing.

Dead Rising gets boring really fast, being same-old for hours at a time against basically zero-threat badguys and has stupid 8-bit bosses.
Wait, you liked MGS. LOL!
Vegas is neat, good multi, split screen etc. EDF is NOT, it's just as boring/easy as Dead Rising but also looks like shit.

well it's 2,700yens which is like dirt cheap: i'm far less picky at that price
edit: well there is an hardest and inferno mode if you find it too easy :p

Replaying the one level the game has again doesn't appeal. You'd think they could have put better models in, considering there's like eight of them in the whole game.
And 'let's put a zillion guys in so you have to have unlocked the uber guns' isn't 'difficulty'. The first level on insane is unplayable when you start, because you have to Diablo it up and get the good stuff first. The very idea of replaying any of the levels appalls me. Such a neat idea, but so crappy...
Don't get me started on the vehicles.

Don't buy Double Agent on the 360.
Buy it on the Xbox instead. The two versions of the game are dramatically different, and the previous generation one is significantly better. (also, it works on the 360, as do all the Xbox Splinter Cell games)

Saint's Row & Crackdown
Saint's Row is basically another GTA copy, except, you get to customize your character, buy clothing and jewelry, and you can customize nearly any car.
Crackdown basically let's you play a supercop who can leap from building to building, throw vehicles, and beat the shit out of criminals.

That's quite a surprise. What makes the Xbox version better? How does the PS3 version stack up?

They're essentially two totally different games, mostly different missions, etc. The Xbox one is much more like a traditional Splinter Cell game. Your missions take place in darkness, whereas on the next gen one they are often in daylight, so you just have to rely on staying out of line of sight, you can't use shadows, take out lights, etc. All the things the series is famous for. Additonally, the trust system is different. In the previous gen versions you have one trust meter which you have to balance between the terrorists you're infiltrating and the NSA, in the next gen versions they're seperate, so you can be totally trusted by both sides, no balancing act, less interesting mechanic..
Also, the next gen versions have the sound/light meter as a gadget strapped onto Sam, rather than an interface element. This is even present during the prison level where Sam is posing as a prisoner to infiltrate the terrorists, an annoying immersion breaker.
Also, the next gen versions have no co-op. The previous gen versions have co-op missions like Chaos Theory, that run alongside the main missions.
They're even made by completely different people. The Xbox version by Ubisoft Montreal (Splinter Cell, Chaos Theory, and Conviction), and the 360 one by Ubisoft Shanghai (Pandora Tomorrow).
The PS3 version is the same as the 360 one.

Dead Rising can get a bit stale, but for a classic title price, you can't really go wrong.
And Ford, if you get Vegas let me know and we'll hook up the co-ops.

Sorry - I haven't checked my friend requests for a while. And my fiance has been monopolising the DVD player, I mean 360. *scowls*.

Don't forget the digital movie rentals and such. The new Babylon 5 thing is on there for a pretty reasonable price.

I was going to pick it up today, but the EB I went to didn't have a copy.

I've not actually seen a copy of Vegas for the 360 anywhere yet. However, if I get it, and then bugger aorund with Live, I'll let you know.

All shit outta luck.

EB in Bris-Vegas had a massive sale recently, and sold most of their pre-owned stuff. I didn't get a chance to get Vegas for like $20.
