Bobyte freeware Avi tools?

Anybody here who has experience with those?
Do they work, and are they "clean"?

I don't see any immediate red flags. If you only need to cut or trim video files, I'd recommend Virtualdub; but Avitricks seems to be safe to use.
Still, the usual caveats apply.
