Ok I'm posting from my parents laptop at the moment (as my own PC is at maintence) and it's really slow (I mean snail on seditives slow) for some time there doesn't seem to be any other problems apart from it being slow.


can anyone tell me what might be the problem?

Something could have been corrupted or there could be an infection. Can't know without more details.

Go to task manager with nothing running and look at the CPU usage. Is there a significant amount of untilisation when there is nothing running?
