Xbox moddificationz

I didn't want to encroach on the other xbox thread, so I'll ask a simple question here:
For those of you who have modded your origional xbox, what mods did you use? How did you use them? What are some of the nifty things you're doing with them?
I ask, because I looked into it after checking out a link to Xbox Media Center, and have already purchased a used xbox off of ebay with intent to throw on MAME, Snes and PS emulators, M.U.G.E.N, and various other fun sundries. Granted, I have no real idea how, yet, but I'll burn that bridge when I cross it.
Anyway. Discuss!
