Analog to Firewire Cables?

Do standard RGB analog to firewire cables exist? I'm planning on pulling some stuff off old VHS tapes, so I can edit them on the computer. I can pass it through my camcorder, or use an old converter (Dazzle), but let's say I'm lazy(Because I am)> I want to cut out the middle-man. Does such a cable exist? I did a quick Google search, but haven't found it yet.

I am not aware of such a beast, and I imagine that that kind of signal conversion would require a rather sizable piece of hardware stuck to it, but that's assuming I don't have my head up my ass.
You could probably find a 50-70 dollar ATI TV Tuner card (TV-Wonder), those come with RGB inputs and video capture options. That probably breaks your lazy barrier, though.

Would a
USB adapter with RGB hookups do the trick?

Not possible.

That's a converter like he has.

Damn, gotta pass it through the camcorder, I guess. I don't want to add all the sortware and set up the Dazzle converter.

Pretty much. Firewire is basically the same thing as USB - it does some things slightly to somewhat better but more expensively which is sadly the main reason it doesn't have much market share beyond the video editing niche. But it is a full featured external device connector and not just a video cable so such a converter (beyond stuff akin to the device already linked) simply doesn't exist.

I've never used it but it looks like it will do what you want.
