Something seems to have installed itself...

Okay, when I woke up this morning, that prompt was on the screen of my computer. As you can see from the Google search behind it, the application name returns no hits. (However, DISCover InstaPlay returns many, all of which seem to point to it being a legitimate application; see here.)

The problem is that I gave the computer no instructions to install anything at all, much less that, before going to bed. I would have broken out the uninstallation routines by now, but I want to be sure this isn't something more insidious than normal. Does anyone know just what the deal is here?

According to all virus and spyware scans I've run, my computer is clean. I'll be posting a HijackThis log shortly.

Could it have come bundled as part of some game or other software you installed?
"You say that it is your custom to burn widows. Very well. We also have a custom: when men burn a woman alive, we tie a rope around their necks and we hang them. Build your funeral pyre; beside it, my carpenters will build a gallows. You may follow your custom. And then we will follow ours."- General Sir Charles Napier

Do you have an HP that's set to auto-update? Google suggests that this stuff comes bundled with new HP's, so they may be pushing it as an update to older PC's.

It might have. It's set to auto-update, but the firewall's set to stop it unless I say otherwise. I think the firewall might have been off, though, because I was gaming yesterday and might have forgotten to turn it back on when I was done. In any case, I have no desire to have the program, so out it goes... or it would if it showed up in the program registry. It doesn't. Which is worrisome.
