Marathon Rubicon X

Does anyone else play this third-party scenario for Bungie's Marathon Series? I haven't played all of Marathon's fan-campaigns but this one is easily the best IMO. It has a very well thought-out storyline: You have the option of either taking down the Pfhor Empire or an evil corporation depending on the decisions you make throughout the campaign, and it's the best Marathon has looked thanks to its HD textures. It is easily a better third installment in the trilogy than Infinity was (Even the dream levels and terminals are done better).

I have, it's awesome.

There is a "third plank" as well, where you can end up following Tycho instead of Durandal. It's hard to find, but it gives you an extra 5-6 levels to play with. The split point is not at the same point that the Pfhor/Salinger planks split ("Hairy Legs").

Yeah, I found the Tycho Plank as well after hearing about all the hype surrounding it. I was disappointed to find out that many of it's levels were rehashes of other stages in the first two planks, and the ending seemed rushed and unfinished (Not to mention the ending screen being totally inappropriate for the Tycho Plank, for obvious reasons).

A rundown of the campaign:
Salinger Plank: Good ending
Phfor Plank: Bad ending
Tycho Plank: Huh? ending

That's a fair enough assessment, but I'm not really a big "videogame geek" so the fact that I even managed to find the Big Secret Levels was a thrill for me.

Overall though I was pretty impressed. More than I was with Marathon Infinity's storyline, at least.
