I can't seem to find out how to change a certain setting on Vista. If anyone can tell me, I would much appreciate it!
On XP, any jpeg, bmp, movie file, etc., file that I had would show a preview thumbnail in its folder. I can't seem to get this on Vista. Does anyone know how to do it?
Thanks!

If you change your view to Medium, Large, or Extra Large icons you should get your previews.

Its likely something hijacked your picture file-types. In what program do they open when you double-click on them?
Try setting the default program to Windows Photo Gallery (by using right-click>open with...>WPG with always use this program etc. checkbox enabled).
If that doesn't help its possible some malicious or incompetent program extensively modified your entries for picture file-types. I'm not sure how to fix it in that case beyond using System restore or a repair install - its possible that there is a utility that can fix it though.
--> Just now remembered - a more mundane explanation could be that for some reason you have thumbnails disabled in Explorer. Press alt to get the menu then go tools>Folder options>View then make sure "Always show icons, never thumbnails" is disabled (first entry in the list).
