Computer question

I have 2 hard drives sharing the same 12V rail. Does it matter in which order I connect the two power connectors to the two hard drives?

My OS drive's been stalling lately and freezing the whole system so I switched the two power cables and now the system seems to be working fine, but is my other drive now in danger?

Unless there's a physical problem with a single connector causing an intermittent connection, all the connectors on the same rail are electrically identical.

Personally, I prefer to connect devices to as many cables as possible, so that excess current isn't drawn from a single cable, but it really doesn't matter. The cables can handle several amps, which is more than even a GPU with a MOLEX connector can sink.

The only exception to this would be if there is a break in one of the cables. Then the device is getting only intermittent power, if it's even getting power at all.

Nevermind I still have the problem so it doesn't look power supply cable related.
