Xbox360: an US centric console?

It's a common criticism i get about the 360.
I could understand it on the first box, but on the 360?
i was classing my games tonight and well i've got a shitload of japanese games.
Even removing japanese games targeting western audience (AC06 or Dead Rising, etc...)
There is still many games that uniquely japanese, that would fit as well on my NEC SuperCD-rom II.
This is a quick list from my own games library.
- The iDOLM@STER
- EDF3
- Oneechanbara VorteX
- Lost Odyssey
- Blue Dragon
- Super Robot Wars XO (ok that's a port)
- Trusty Bell: Chopin no Yume
- Senko no RĂ´nde RevX
- Shikigami no Shiro III
i've got Clannad iDOLM@STER Live For You and Clannad on preorder.
Ikaruga and Trigger Heart Exelica are coming on the XBLA.
i don't really feel the link with the black Halo-box that was the first Xbox.
It seems to me that this console is the bastard child of the PC-Engine and the Dreamcast.
Yet a lot of people dismiss it as the Madden/Fps fratboy console. why?
