Just trying to get a feel for who would still be interested in getting into a Dark Heresy group, but for whatever reason wasn't able to make it into the existing group.

I would probably, especially if STGOD has a hiatus, like I think it will.

I've got a horrible itch to run a all-psyker play by post, but I'm not decided on when or even where.

Oh, you know I'm down for that kind of boondoggle.

can we take our orders from a Dalek inquisitor?

Could you take orders from a 4th gen Genestealer?

No and no, but as far as you're concerned, the Inquisitor is as scary as a Genestealer Primarch, Kharn, and the resident Commisar combined.

He/she will rip off your arm and beat you to death with it, then have your bloody corpse reanimated into a servitor because he/she's not letting you escape doing your duty that easily.

by dalek I was making refrence to Ravenor, though he's closer to Davros with dual wield psycannons, and lots of psycher abilities....

I realize that, but Ravenor is both quite distinctive and quite infamous within the Ordos, due to the exploits of both his mentor and himself.

I've been scouring every game store I know of down here to find the RPG book.

But thanks for the advice.

Can I use the same character that I have when I play DH with my freinds? Not that the character isnt legit or anything im just wondering what level we would start at.

We haven't even found a GM yet, so I honestly am not able to tell you what level we'd start at.

I would volunteer to GM, but alas I am somewhat busy playing in the other group. If I somehow manage to scrounge up some more free time and no one else steps up, I might consider it.

I'd be interested in joining, but I don't know the rules. I was considering getting the book, but not for a while at best.

I totally call being a techpriestess if we can't have more than one.

I ain'ts got my book on me, but is there an OGL or possibly certain features which one can post publicly without violating copyright, like crystal keep has done or the many srds for D&D?

No. Citing certain things in a limited respect is usually okay under fair use laws, but there is no open gaming license for Warhammer.

Heh, Techpriest does look awesome doesn't it? All sorts of nifty toys to play with. Sure, they won't be as hard to kill as a Guardsman or Arbitrator, but being able to shoot lightning from your hands (or wherever); unjam guns with a wave of your hand; and gain a free level of success on any inquiry, tech-use, or common lore test simply for being connected to the 40k version of the internet counts for something.

I had to get it at my local comic shop, it wasn't in any of the gamestores(or the GW Store, ironically).

I'm game. I'll be away from the interwebs all next week though....

I'm very interested in getting this game (and playing this session, naturally). Maybe house of heros has it or something. I shall scour the city for stock this weekend. Something in the back of my mind says to do it before it's too late.

My local Barnes and Noble had one. I should go see some time next week when I'm free if it's still there.

And/or find someone with the collectors edition, kill them, and take it for my own by right of trial by combat.

If I do end up GMing this, I am not averse to teaching for those who don't have the full rules in front of them.

Since the primary mode of communication would likely be AIM and PMs, and the player's end of the rules are fairly simple, I don't anticipate much difficulty.
