I was wondering if it is possible to download dvd's I own, onto my computer to my PSP?

Sure is, most encoding software will have a PSP-specific setting, so that it doesn't use unsupported options. Handbrake does, the ffmpeg frontend I use does, etc.

Get PSPVideo9, which can do the job in one click.
