RealPlayer video preview picture issues

Odd issue, hopefully I'm able to describe it well enough. Essentially I have quite a few RealPlayer video files. Some of these files have a preview picture in the thumbnail/graphic prior to opening the actual file. Some of them only show the RealPlayer logo instead of an actual picture from the video file. I know in some instances the preview picture was there, but disappeared and was replaced with the logo when I moved the file. Also, in a couple of instances the pic came back on it's own, so I know that it's likely something I can control.

My only problem is I don't know how the hell to do so, lol. And my google-fu appears to be weak cause it's of no help. It keeps assuming I'm having issues with the video itself, which is playing fine. I've gone through all the options to see if there's anything there I can do, but no luck thus far. Anyone else have this issue, or even know wtf I'm talking about? :P

Perhaps RealPlayer creates the thumbnails when it plays the files. Photoshop seems to do that for PSD files. Thumbnails for regular video files are created by Windows, using available codecs, but I can understand if it can't do that with RealPlayer files since they are the spawn of Satan! (Satan being RealPlayer itself, of course)

It's weird. It seems to sometimes generate the preview photo automatically when downloading a file, then other times the preview graphic is just the RealPlayer logo. It doesn't seem to have any rhyme or reason. And their FAQs are worthless in regards to this particular issue.

And yeah, when I first started messing with Real I was all "oh wow, this has some cool features", but now I've shifted more towards, "what a harsh mistress she is!" :)
