Wheee!
After finding him responsible for 27 separate instances of professional misconduct, the Florida Bar has requested that controversial Miami attorney and anti-gaming activist Jack Thompson be disbarred for 10 years, reports GamePolitics.

Thompson wrote a "lengthy objection" in response to the request, but after being barred from reading it aloud, Thompson reportedly "stormed out of the hearing." Judge Dava Tunis did allow Thompson to submit his response to the court record, however.

News of the Florida Bar's request comes only a month and a half after the Florida Supreme Court forbade Thompson from representing himself in any further filings with the court.
In a way though, I'm kind of sad. Will we ever again be able to chuckle at Jack's latest tomfoolery?

Probably not. An sentence from about a month ago (mentioned at the end of the article) banned him from ever filing complaint with the Florida Supreme Court unless another Bar member signed on it as legit. This was after he mocked the court for not "understanding his complaint" and instead sent a complaint which was nothing but pictures meant to symbolize his thoughts, including a kangaroo in court.

Besides, in ten years he'll either be senile and permanently disbarred or dead.

Well since he walked out of his own hearing the other day, the judge has moved that he get some sort of super disbarring, which would prevent him from filing for a permit to practice law for ten years.

Dammit, I read that as "owned by the Florida Bear". This wasn't anywhere near as funny as I was expecting.

I don't live in florida... Though I do know a member of that "Other Sort" of Bears who definatly wouldn't sodomize Thompson if you paid him money.
