This somewhat makes up for the fact that as a 360 owner, I won't be able to play as Vader and Yoda is apparently terrible to play as. I mean, obviously I would prefer Vader but this bizarre twist on an already really bizarre twist is pretty fun looking.

Fuck that shit. I'm tired of games "inventing" crap which have no logical following in the Expanded Universe; but by Lucasfilm rules, have to be accepted as lower level canon.

Given the dubious quality of some of the recent EU, I really don't give a flying fuck if it gets shit on by the new games and the T.V. series.

More to that, how come we've never fucking heard of ZOMG dark vadar's apprentice until now?

Cause he was a secret apprentice.

Duh!

Oh, cool, looks like there's going to be some Star Wars levels in there too.

I don't really give a shit about the EU when I'm playing my PS3. I just care about a cool character, and Crashdown from nBSG fits the bill, thank you very much.

Getting all antsy over a videogame screwing with the EU is rather like worrying about someone's dress sense when getting anally raped.

A kick ass character out of nowhere screwing with continuity? Business as usual, methinks.

I'm digging that reverse grip lightsabre style myself though.

Wait! Crashdown is in it? What does he do? Shoot people with a pistol? :D

I can see most matches going like that one famous scene in Raiders Of The Lost Ark if that's the case.

I don't see what's so controversial about Vader having a bastard apprentice hidden from Palpatine. He openly fantasizes aloud about overthrowing Palpatine and displacing him as ruler of the galaxy and Master of the Order of the Sith Lords literally the first day on the job in Revenge of the Sith. I doubt that ambition suddenly died until he found Luke in The Empire Strikes Back, where upon he asks for Luke's help in the same plan again (with the added caveat of Luke taking his job and presumably being his heir apparent, as opposed to the initial plan of elevating his wife to Empress and the two of them reigning together). That Vader looked for a substitute in the meantime seems only to make sense.

Vader's Secret Apprentice looks exactly like Crashdown. Except, you know, with a lightsaber.

No, he just blows them up with force lightning. :P

(if you weren't aware, yes, the actor who played Crashdown plays Vader's Apprentice in TFU, right down to the character's face as opposed to mere voice acting.)

Besides, the space between Episode III and IV is pretty bare- most of the continuity griping I've heard relates to TFU's over-the-top force powers, which is purely a gameplay mechanic - all the force users in TFU have the same "unleashed" powers as Vader's apprentice (there's some scuttle-butt that his name is "Starkiller", but who knows). In the very first level, you cleanse Kashyyyk as Vader with the same type of powers.

(another cool thing about TFU, you can play as Vader)

After the nerfed Jedi and Sith lords that get beaten to death by sand people armed with sticks in KoToR I am all for some awesonme force powers. However there is a danger here. After the first 5 minutes of telekinetic wankery would not the game feel dull ? Jedi Outcast and Jedi Academy fell into the same trap before. They basicaly had a cool gimmick in the lightsaber and force powers. The game itself was an extremely dull corridor crawl against retarded Quake 3 bots. It looks like Force Unleashed is headed same way. They are just hyping up the force powers to sell us another gimmick like Jedi Outcast.

LOL...at least he fits the look better then the other guest stars.

Either way, the final proof is whether this game is actually decent or lower the SC3 in terms of balance.

Didn't Vader already have an official apprentice, one of the douche's that kidnapped Leia's kids. During the Crystal Star I think?

Let's see, supposedly there's Kharys, Tao, Vost Tyne, Hethrir, Rillao, Lumiya, and Flint. However, only Starkiller and Tao were supposed to be legitimate Sith Apprentices.

Well, Mecha-gothloli actually fits quite well with the art style of the rest of the characters.

That guy looks like a complete wifebeater. Only things missing are the white muscleshirt and camo pants.
