YouTube/Flash nonsense

Yeah, so i go to YouTube to try and find some vidoes and it tells me that it cant play them because, either my Java scirpt is off or i dont havethe required Adobe (spell that right?) Flash player. Now, i just spent the last hour or so trying to GET the Flash player, in vain.

At first i did everything i could to try and download it, but it refused to do anything. Everytime i hit the download button it just refreshes the screen, or at least thats what appears to happen. So after fucking around i read that maybe i need to "uninstall" the old Adobe Flash player...ok, fair enough. So i download the uninstaller, because apparently a seperate programe is required to get rid of it, for some reason ( ) and then i THINK i uninstalled it but it offers so little evidence or information one way or the other i honestly cant tell. I went back and tried to download the Flash player again and...nothing, same as before.

So what the fuck is going on? I'm just hoping it's the Flash thing, because i have no idea what a Java script is or how to toggle it off and on, and even then i seem to be getting nowhere with the Adobe shit. Does anyone have any idea what the fuck is going on? I'm hoping it's something simple and easily fixed but i wouldnt know, as i'm utterly computer illiterate. Any help is greatly appreciated.

Flash gets a little temperamental sometimes. I know it's a cliche but rebooting a few times seems to fix this problem. I've had this problem and my Mom's computer did the same thing and rebooting seemed to clear it up.

I've only had that happen once with YouTube, and I fixed it by refreshing the page.

It ALWAYS happens to me when I go to look at big-name things on Youtube. Offical Music Videos and stuff get me the exact same error message you are talking about.

I've never figured out what is going on there.

The problem has...somehow fixed itself...

I'm in the dark about it, but somehow the Flash player downloaded fine after i left it idling for a while :? .

Anyway, thank you guys, and now i cross my fingers and hope the Internet Gods don't get uppity again.
