Spread Firefox wrote:Sounds like a good deal, right? All you have to do is get Firefox 3 during Download Day to help set the record for most software downloads in 24 hours - it’s that easy. We're not asking you to swallow a sword or to balance 30 spoons on your face, although that would be kind of awesome.
If you haven't already tried Firefox 3, now's an excellent time. Well,
tomorrow will be. You'll get a
free, fast and safe browser, and you'll know you're part of a Guinness World Record.

Download the installer and delete it? If you want to help with the attempt, that is.

Is firefox 3 passing Acid3 yet? (3, don't give a shit about 2) Or are they releasing it now anyway?

I've been using Firefox for a while now and I'm very satisfied.
Will be downloading tomorrow.

Does Redshift work with it yet? I'll download it but I like my theme too much to actually upgrade.

It's officially incompatible, but you can always fake the version number and see what happens. don't come crying when your profile breaks

IE7's JS engine is kind of slow, though.

Firefox 3 uses a JS engine donated by Adobe and it's faster. Opera 9.5 is also pretty snappy and the Apple guys just put in a crazy-fast JS JIT compiler into WebKit (which Konqueror is switching to Real Soon Now, IIRC).

AFAIK, Tamarin isn't in Fx3 yet. The new JS engine they have now is still pretty fast though.

Well, I got it. Seems pretty much the same as FF3, except now I can't middle-click my Gmail button on the Google toolbar to go to my inbox...

Definitely loads pages faster. Jury's out on the new interface for OS X, but I love the new features.

Well, there's still 9 hours left in the day, and they've already surpassed the 5 million mark.

Depends on how you want to fix it. Do you just want it to have less entries?

I'd just like to have them smaller. Like they used to be.
I really like how it gradually loads everything instead of waiting for everything to load and then showing it. Makes it a whole lot more convenient.
