Stupid browser

I'll be very glad when I leave my current job for my new one next week. The state doesn't keep its web browsers updated, and I don't have admin rights to my box, so I can't do it myself. Consequently, the installed version of IE doesn't have current Flash drivers and such, so advertisements regularly crash it.
Annoying as hell.

He must be running IE7 to do that and by the sounds of things he has an older browser as well.

You can remove the ActiveX control if you have the access rights.

I get around the access rights problem by just installing Firefox on a portable flash drive and plugging that into whatever computer I happen to be at.

I would not do that at a workplace computer.
