Because it still makes so much sense that videogames can only be rated M15+ and under, whilst movies can go up to R 18+

Time to order from playasia I suppose.

What?!

Anyway, I was going to import the bloody thing since it is cheaper to buy it in America and import the fucking thing with $40 shipping as the collectors edition than it would have been to buy the normal thing in the shops locally.

You can still import, Xon. They rarely stop such.

There's probably an "anyway" missing in his post.

Hmm...might put off moving to Australia until after this game comes out.

Hilarious. I just don't get these kooks. First Dark Sector, now Fallout 3*. I bought Ninja Gaiden II in this country.

Where were you then OFLC? Where were you then!?

*How did they refuse classification of this, anyway? It hasn't even been released yet ...

Clearly, Tecmo met their Blow & Hooker bribes.

Classification of games occurs months before release. The reason for the denial in this case revolves around the realistic portrayal of drugs.

Rather, the reason for denial is that the OFLC is a bunch of reactionary fucks with cunts for eyes.

Which is of course, totally ridiculous. Many, many, many games have gotten past with just as "realistic" depictions of drugs. It's entirely arbitrary. God knows how Bethesda is going to fix this.

Simple. Call it a "stim pack". That makes it all better.

Back when Wolfenstein 3D got banned in Germany, Apogee got around it by shipping ordered games in plain brown boxes which didn't indicate what was inside. Maybe Bethesda could do something similar?

I remember the original Carmaggedon in the UK had zombies with green blood instead of pedestrians and red blood. Now at this time there were far fewer people connected to the net, but the shop selling it gave a free copy of PC Zone with every copy...that had a cover CD with the blood patch on it. :)

You mean 'break the law' and 'smuggling'? Yeah, why not!

I mean come on guys, games are for kids. Haven't you seen the hilarious online outrage about the idea of actually enforcing the ratings on videogames? NO MORE 10YOS BUYING MURDERAPE 79? Cataclysm!

Maybe they'd let the game pass if Bethesda changed all the drugs and stims in the Australian version to like, candy and soda pop.

i hear individuals importing a game that is illegal to sell but passes through customs is the same as a corporation fraudulently importing shit in mis-marked containers to evade legal restrictions

like oh

tariffs lol 8) 8) 8) 8)

After they refuse something, OFLC are cunts about letting it through modified. They let things through on 'just kinda sorta' MA15+ that they wouldn't allow in a game that had already been refused.

LET'S GO WATCH TODAY TONIGHT
