Damn, so no free release? Considering the book goes for 70$-90$ on ebay like institutions I always wanted a peak at their convention for gaining a name(Something players love)

Still useful, first time I've had any kind of peak at their system(Not wanting to to shell out 80$ for it)

You're probably thinking of a different game Mr. Bean. Another company got the rights to do the game, made a monstrosity with D20 rules and beautiful art, and then died.

Green Ronin has subsequently gotten the rights and is releasing its game this fall. They've designed a new system for it and the quick start rules are part of the promotion for it.

Could not care less for the system itself, but from what I hear the other older no longer in print version of the game had a few pages dedicated to rules for how DM's could use the players own actions to generate a name for them to be know the world over.

If that was done well it could be very cool.

I remember reading an example of one person how using the system after he insulted the honor of the Greyjoy's the ended up being forced for fight a duel or die with the first son of the current Lord of Pyke. It was supposed to only be to first blood since the player was just a Squire(Level 5) while the son was a full knight(Level 12) instead the player rolled a crit success, the son rolled a crit failure and the first and last attack of the duel ended with the player's sword in the son's throat.

Well more stuffed happened because of that, and at the end of it the player had killed another Greyjoy and the first son of the Harlaw he became know as Ironbane for his nasty habit of habit of killing the heir of Ironmen houses.

Wow, sophisticated naming rules.

Seriously, who would shell out that much cash for this except fans of the series with no other RPG experience? ASOIAF is a ridiculously simple setting to convert to any system worth using at all *COUGHGURPSCOUGH* ... Everything that isn't realistic (ie: daily life, the feudal system) or close to realistic (ie: the raven postal system, the insanely abundant agriculture of Highgarden) is a totally unexplained GM-Plot-Handwave (ie: magic).

Like I said, who knows how much depth it has I wanted to see it not, I know it's good everyone should buy it. What I said then, is what I'll say now

I want to see it(The giving your players monikers section), but I'm not willing to shell out more than 60$ for just one small part of a rather large book I'm interested in.

I don't know if it's good, I don't know if it's bad, the rest of the system can stuff itself for all I care, it's only that one section I'm interested in if it's worth a damn.

I got that, thanks. The question at the beginning of my second paragraph would be rather pointless if I thought that the answer was Mr Bean. It doesn't even pique my curiosity, and I'm a fanboy who has actually considered using the setting for tabletop. I don't think that Green Ronin will be doing themselves any favors investing in this license.
