MA15+ rating. I assume they've done something to the drug references. That is all for now.

Oddly, stimpacks and superstims were what they used before, did this change for FO3, and they just now changed it back? It's not as if they weren't drugs--afterall, you could get addicted to stimpacks or overdose on them just like any drug. They were just less obviously a drug.weemadando wrote:Like I said originally. It wouldn't have been a problem if the guy had just been injecting himself with a "Stimpak". No, because there's no drugs there.
I don't think you got addicted to stim packs, but the superstims led to loss of lifepoints a few minutes after use. The more you used, the more you lost.Covenant wrote:Oddly, stimpacks and superstims were what they used before, did this change for FO3, and they just now changed it back? Which lead to a funny strategy for endgame of Fallout 2:Stargate Nerd wrote:I don't think you got addicted to stim packs, but the superstims led to loss of lifepoints a few minutes after use. Check out the PS3 trailer, lots of red mist.Chardok wrote:As long as we don't lose the head-exploding-in-bloody-gibs, I'll be okay.
Agreed, though I will not pass judgement yet. I did see some body part-targeting so....maybe they'll make it interesting somehow. Regardless, I'll buy it. Because I am a fallout whore.Block wrote:Looks more like Elder Scrolls than it does Fallout, which isn't a good thing in my opinion.
According to a preview video I saw a few weeks ago, you can play it as an FPS like Mass Effect or do it turn-based while targeting specific body parts.Block wrote:I saw that, and that part did look cool, but I really don't like the first person look, and if it's not turn based combat, it's really not Fallout to me. I absolutely loved the first two as well.
That is encouraging. Wonder if it will be only IF you target specific body-parts....chitoryu12 wrote:According to a preview video I saw a few weeks ago, you can play it as an FPS like Mass Effect or do it turn-based while targeting specific body parts.Block wrote:I saw that, and that part did look cool, but I really don't like the first person look, and if it's not turn based combat, it's really not Fallout to me. Sorry, turn-based combat is boring and a big-budget title can't even SEEM boring, except if its a Final Fantasy title.I saw that, and that part did look cool, but I really don't like the first person look, and if it's not turn based combat, it's really not Fallout to me.
It would have been more accurate to say that turn based combat is Sales Doom (for anything except JRPGs).White Haven wrote: are not amused by your comments regarding turn-based games. That said, I'm looking foreward to the new Fallout, but you can go right to hell before you declare shit like that.
It appears to be like that. So far it shows the camera zooming in on the enemies and allowing you to highlight their body parts in order of importance, then it does a cinematic view of the enemies continuing to fire and hit you while you start shooting. I'm trying to remember that World War II strategy game series that used the same thing. I remember "Africa Korps" was one of them.Chardok wrote:That is encouraging.
