Need a new laptop AC adapter
My laptop's adapter burned out yesterday, and I've been running around trying to get a replacement, with no luck. I've got a Dell Inspiron E1505, which apparently does not get along with a lot of the universal adapters the local stores carry. Does anyone know of a brand that does work with Dell's? I've dealt with their parts replacement division before, and I'd prefer to avoid doing again unless I have to.

You can try eBay; link one link two
Note the two above are Dell labeled and not some cheap knockoffs.
Looking at Zod's link, those look to be cheap knock offs as well considering the reviews. Unless of course, the adapter for this laptop is shit given your own situation.

I have almost reached the regrettable conclusion that the Negro's great stumbling block in his stride toward freedom is not the White Citizen's Counciler or the Ku Klux Klanner, but the white moderate, who is more devoted to "order" than to justice; who constantly says: "I agree with you in the goal you seek, but I cannot agree with your methods of direct action"; who paternalistically believes he can set the timetable for another man's freedom; who lives by a mythical concept of time and who constantly advises the Negro to wait for a "more convenient season."

Thanks! I didn't think there would be many sources for Dell parts online aside from Dell themselves, so I didn't look. As for the genuine/non-genuine issue, it was the factory-original that blew on me, and it's about 1.5-2 years old. From my adventures today, I've heard that this series of adapters and the ones following it have been getting progressively shittier, sometimes only lasting about 6 months.

I have bought a lot of items for my Dell Laptops from sources other than Dell. Dell charges up the butt for their components.
