Online or Local Instore?

I was looking at the online listing for a local computer store and their prices are something like 20 to 30% more than online places like Tiger Direct or New Egg (I generally like New Egg better)
What I am curious about is if there is anything people prefer to buy at local computer stores instead of buying online?

I tend to buy larger, heavier items in stores, because their shipping costs tend to offset the price difference seen from online vendors. For example, I usually buy towers from the local store. Printers, too. Anything else, though, I'll definitely get online.

Many times, items have free S&H from Newegg, that is one reason I prefer them to Tiger
3BTech always has free S&H

Quick replacement parts or stuff like cables, risers, thermal paste, etc. I'll get locally. Everything else I'll buy on-line. Circuit City is going out of business and I went to a local store to see if there were any deals. They had some 500GB sata II 16MB drives for $100, which is 30% off the regular price. NewEgg has the same drive with double the cache size for $60.00.
It's no wonder CompUSA, Circuit City, and others are folding. How can you compete with those kinds of prices? Most of the time when I order something from NewEgg it arrives the next day.

On another board, there was discussion that it is cheaper to buy a whole new name brand machine instead of upgrading.
I think much of what they are looking at is buying them from stores not online.
