Right. There have been a billion Werewolf/Mafia interest threads but I did a quick search and I don't think any have ever gotten off the ground. So let's do this.
Here is an overview of the rules. We will be using Werewolf terms since they have less syllables.
Short version:
Every day people vote on who to lynch (kill). This is mandatory.
Night roles occur at...night.
Innocents win if Wolf population = 0.
Wolves win if Innocent population < current Wolf population.
All roles are secret.
Please remember people can lie; this is important.
---
THESE ARE THE ROLES I WILL BE USING FOR THIS GAME
Faction: Innocents
Villagers: No special abilities.
Seer: (Night Role) Can 'scry' one player every night and learn their role.
Faction: Werewolves
Wolves: (Night role) The faction gets to kill one person at night (Mandatory).
---
MINUTIAE
There will be a Night 0 (i.e. before the game actually 'starts') scry so that there is some kind of evidence on the first day.
Once a quorum of 7 players is reached, I'll decide on a time to close sign-ups. Probably within in the same day. This is to ensure a game actually starts.
Votes are locked in once a majority is reached. Vote carefully. You can change your vote before this, however.
---
EXAMPLE GAME (7-man wolf)
Players:
Ted (Seer)
Tim
John (Wolf)
Phil
Ed
Terrance (Wolf)
Trevor
NIGHT 0: Ted scries Tim, finds him innocent.
DAY 1: Mob lynches Phil (Innocent). Whoops.
NIGHT 1: Wolves kill Ed. Ted scries John, finds him wolfy.
DAY 2: 5 players remain. Innocents lose if they do not lynch a wolf. Fortunately, John is a terrible liar. He is lynched.
NIGHT 2: Wolves kill Trevor. Ted scries Trevor, finding him innocent. (Not that it matters.)
DAY 3: 3 Players remain. Terrance is caught in a web of lies due to suspicious voting patterns. He is lynched.
Innocents win!
---
I have no idea how popular this might be (also Christmas). So, it'd be great if you could be on once per day, maybe, if you're going to play. Also questions/comments/etc.
Oh and please bold the word In or something to that effect if you...want in.
