There was a really awesome series of browser based games that I'd like to play through again but I can't remember what it was called and as such can't find it.

In these games you went through missions in space blowing up enemy starships by clicking on them and gaining a fleet of your own starships. This was the basic format of all of the games except one of them where you instead had a space station. There was a story line across all the games about a war and shit but the games themselves didn't make that big of a deal about it.

Was everything in the game a single colour (maybe two) out of a palette of 16 colours, with a low resolution? If so, I might have played it and might be able to get the title.

No. It was a fairly limited color palette but no that limited .
