Jailbreaking iPhone

Does anyone here have any experience with jailbreaking an iPhone and running some of the apps that become available?

I've successfully jailbroken my iPhone 3G and I've been trying to get the GBA emulator app to work, with no success. I can't find any clear guides or instructions anywhere online about how to move files around on the iPhone (I've got the GBA emulator app, the bios file and some ROMs all downloaded from Cydia, but I don't know how to move them all into the right folders).

I've heard iPhonebrowser is a good app. To move files around, you probably need to enable OpenSSH.

I've jailbroken mine, but I never really cared to delve into the guts of it. I have Cydia, Winterboard, Bossprefs, a few themes. I mainly wanted to do it to enable the background on the home screen.
