Haarlock's Legacy

New adventure book for Dark Heresy announced. Not much to go on, but it's more substantive than the ME2 trailer!

There's an adventure that concerns the rogue trader family of Haarlock in Disciples of the Dark Gods. It's called "The House of Dust and Ashes" and is so bad ass that everyone who survives the Thirteenth Hour and the doom prophesized by the Gilded Widow gains a fate point.

P.S. "The House of Dust and Ashes" has air pirates.

GW does love its sly winks and FFG does keep up the tradition. Dark Heresy also has references to "Black Company" and "Girl Genius".

Huh. I have that book, but I haven't finished looking at it yet. When I'm back home I'll have a look :D

I don't suppose there's anyone willing to run a DH campaign on the board again, is there? The two we had going were interesting and it's damn near impossible to find a Dark Heresy group near me.

Also, reference to The Black Company?

Play by post games are pretty much impossible. If you insist on playing online I suggest you look at some gaming boards that run games in IRC or other real-time chat programs.

Play by posts tend to work best when they're lighter on the game mechanics. Player drop out tends to be killer so starting with a large group is necessary. I might try to start a Dark Heresy game on Librium Arcana, if enough people are interested.

There's a "Ten Who Were Taken" incident mentioned in "Disciples of the Dark Gods" and "The Inquisitor's Handbook" has "Heterodyne Station" where high technology is being introduced to the otherwise feudal world.

I know a few IRC servers operate out of 4chan's /tg/ and run Dark Heresy games. If you make a post there, you might find a group.

Thanks for the advice. It really does bother me that at RIT of all places, it's so damn hard to find a decent group for any sort of PnP game. None of the ones I've come across seem to even know what Dark Heresy is, either. If you do decide to run that campaign, count me in IO.
