Vista Taskbar Question

I may be missing the obvious in some setting, but how do I make this:

Image (from Vista)

Look like this:

Image (from XP Pro)

In other words, I want the Vista Taskbar such that I have a line of the buttons for each open window/application/whatever in the Taskbar all the way across the screen, as in the XP grab. I don't want the little up and down arrow selection thing (as seen near the Opera box in the Vista Taskbar), whatever that is called, when I have more than 2 windows open at once. "Group similar taskbar buttons" is OFF. None of the other settings seem to be relevant. The Taskbar is Locked and window previews are off as well.

Any help will be much appreciated!

You have either the Quick Launch bar or some other toolbar taking up that space to the left of your taskbar buttons. Disable whichever one is taking up that space (you can check which ones you have enabled in the Toolbars tab of the Taskbar Properties), or unlock the taskbar and drag the grip at the left of the taskbar buttons further to the left.

That did it! I don't know how I missed it, but when I unlocked the Taskbar, I then noticed that small drag grip composed of 3 X 4 dots. Never noticed that before, or if I had, I'd forgotten. :banghead: I sure as heck didn't notice it before when I tried unlocking the Taskbar. Weird.

Anyway, thanks a bunch. I was stymied there for awhile.
