The biggest event in surrealist RTS gaming this year.
Couldn't be worse than Halo Wars, *I'm a smarmy asshole*?

Sadly, it simply doesn't look very good. Intersting ideas don't automatically make games good; look at Perimeter.

It's definitely VERY elementary in it's layout, scarcely more sophisticated than a flash game really since there's no tech trees or resource mining outside of picking up health and money icons that defeated enemies drop. Still, I'd give it a whirl once just to see if it delivers on the humor front.

Wtf?!?! Dancing Stalin?!?! Hilarious! Wouldn't pay for this POS game, but funny trailer nonetheless.

I had heard about this game and checked up on it before, and it looks entirely awful. I was intrigued by the premise, thinking it might be some fun schlocky RTS, but the art direction is really sloppy and the game design is nearly nonexistant. It basically just rests upon the absurdity of the premise, but it's done in a really crass stoned frat-boy "dude you know what would be fuckin'
sick?" way:
Their Website wrote:Well, that's it. Under the Stalin's command we must take control over Red Army forces and kick some alien ass. What shocks the most is that the martian forces look like a gay parade of Nintendo-styled cartoonish creatures.
And I think that's about as far as their thought process went, so they ended up with a game that--while they attempted to call trashy and over-the-top in a sense that satirizes games like CoH, what it really does is just make them look like bad game-makers. I'm all about independant development of games and enjoying wacky themes, but making something a parody or a satire is not an excuse to make it bad.
Slapping "arcade-style" and "accessible" to the front of a title when what you really mean is "no strategy" and "poorly thought out" is an industry tested strategy that has no basis in honest reality. A game designed for the masses doesn't need to include bad descisions and a lack of depth... and it especially doesn't need to look as cruddy as this.

I was looking forward to this when I first heard about it, but I became less and less enthusiastic with every update. And now I heard that a good player can finish it in 6 hours. I'm not spending 15 bucks for 6 hours of "gameplay".

The simplified controls and idiotic gameplay would make it a dynamite X-Box downloadable game though. Why they're charging 15 bucks for a PC retard title is beyond me. For 5 bucks I bet you'd get many more times the purchases.

Your average new movie release runs about 7$ for two hours, you get yours moneys worth for 15$ for 6 hours of gameplay.
However while it does look zany it does not yet look fun, so I wait reviews.

It costs 200 dollars to hire a call girl for two hours, so he gets his money's worth for 500 dollars for 6 hours of gameplay, *I'm a smarmy asshole*?
A video game isn't going to show you a movie any more than it's going to fuck you. They're different forms of entertainment with different commercial value.

Would've been cool to have a SRS BSNSS version of Stalin and Soviet symbology pitted against alien invaders. Like Call of Duty 2, but with War of the Worlds Martians instead of Nazis.
