At my work we have some old promotional DVD's that we use to demo our equipment, but the original files have been lost. Can anyone recommend a program for "ripping" dvd's? These are our own, proprietary videos, we just don't have the files anymore.

Nero can be used to directly copy DVDs from reader to writer, or rip them to the hard drive for later copying. I use version 8, and I've had no problems with it.

edit: If your DVDs are movies, you can also use CloneDVD instead. That's what my best friend uses.

If you are just looking to get the files off the disks DVD Decrypter is probably one of the easiest tools for the job. It doesn't actually convert the files to a different format though, but once you have copied them to your PC there is a ton of applications that can handle that part of the operation.

Are they encrypted? Is there are reason why you can't just image the disk (to an iso or whatever) and then burn the image a thousand times?

We want to take the files and then make them available for more DVDs and to upload the footage onto the company website. These are all good programs, thanks guys
