iPhone/iPod 3.1 update album art issues
I know there's a few iPod touch/iPod users on here so I thought I'd see if anyone else has had this problem. I updated my iPod yesterday with the new update, and it seemed everything went smoothly. But when I opened up my music-list, instead of having one entry per album, I now have dozens of entries, in some cases. I'm baffled why the update would break my album list and was wondering if anyone else knew a solution or has experienced similar issues. I did some searches but so far I haven't really found anything too useful as far as a fix goes.

I don't have any problems like this. Have you tried restoring from backup incase the db is corrupt?

Re: iPhone/iPod 3.1 update album art issues
Turns out Apple is just fucking picky. It seems that now for every instance I have an album with more than one artist listed it displays it as separate fucking albums on my ipod. So I had to go back and retag all the fucking songs that sync with my player so that each album only has one artist, which is kind of annoying for compilations or soundtracks.

It's done that for ages. Having separate data for display and sort is pretty useful, but it'd be nice if they'd mention it either ticking complation or changing sort artist works fine.

After updating to 3.1 and turning on the new Genius Mixes on, I noticed that certain album covers were showing for the wrong artist/album. What I did was upgrade to the itunes media organization (file -> library -> organize library). It seems to have fixed the problem.
