Game Session Planning Thread

This thread is for anyone wishing to solicit gaming session partners from the board.

I ask that if you have *specific people* you wish to contact, that you do so via PM. This thread is for "anyone up for X?" style posts and, to a degree, talking about specific sessions/experiences you've had.

Note that this is one thread that we're willing to be a tad more lenient in where it comes to chatty behaviour, because I realize that some measure of that has to exist in such a thread for it to function. Just keep the one-liner content close to zero. If this doesn't work out, or nobody wants to use it, we'll change it or prune it as necessary.

I'll be up for some Monday morning borderlands on the Ps3 between 0900-1100 (PST) West Coast time and maybe Wednesday the 28th in the afternoon. If I'm on hit me up.

I'll probably be on. I'm back to working overnights this week. Ugh.

Anyone on the board still play Guild Wars? I remember seeing the odd thread about it in the past here.

Is there a SDN Blood Bowl league by any chance? Or anyone interested in such a thing?

Also, does anyone know if it's possible to play a one-off match against a friend in the vastly-superior real-time mode?

Oh there should totally be a SDN Blood Bowl league - but are you playing on 360 or PC?

And I really hope that you are being sarcastic about the real-time mode being superior.

PC. And real-time is better for someone like myself who doesn't give two shits about the board game (not that it's a bad game, I just have no interest in it). I imagine turn-based is great for board gamers getting a digital fix, but after a few rounds of it with a friend both of us went back to real-time.

I think that you lose too much depth going to real time. The risk/reward of deciding action orders like:

Do I try to get that 1 die block first which will let me move straight through for the score or do I make the run and just go around their tackle zone?

I just don't think that the real time game can compare to the turn based in terms of depth of gameplay or more critically - preciseness of control.

Turn based sport games are a pretty hilarious idea.

Anyway does anyone have the terrible AvP game? I want to throw around in multi a bit before I return it. 360, obviously; who plays games on PC?

Words with Friends on the iPhone (although I think you can play it on other devices, like desktops?). I'm Phantasee. I'm down for Scrabble pretty much anywhere, anytime. Just don't be surprised if there's a 7-10 hour delay occasionally as I do sleep.

NFS: Hot Pursuit. And no need to worry about lag or anything. Asynchronous MP (LOL buzzwords) is the best thing to happen to gaming in the past few years.

Anyone still play WC3, the expansion? I had a map I'd like to try if anyone wants to join in.

The wii doesn't seem to be too popular among you guys, but if anyone ever wants to play Brawl, Mario Kart, Goldeneye, or Battalion Wars online, get at me.

Anyone up for Portal 2 co-op? I'm in GMT+1 time zone and pretty much free in the afternoon, especially in the following few days.

My Steam ID is identical to my SDN username.

20 posts in two years, what do you think?

Forza 3 is 360 only, right? A few of my mates are crazy car driving people. What kind of multi do you want to do? Have you tried Dirt3 etc?
