Hi,
My girlfriend wants to buy a PS3 and found a good deal in bundle with Little Big Planet. I´m mainly interested in the level editor that comes with it. However, a friend told me that you have to finish the game and find certain object in order to use some of the level editors functions.
I don´t want to do that but want to use all the functions anyway. Is there a way to do that by entering a cheat or something like that?

I thought little big planet was effectively just a big level editor?

How does that work? Can i surf to that page with the PS3 or do i have to download it to my computer and then transfer it to the PS via USB Stick or something like that?

Google says the unlockables are mainly costumes and concept art. Or you can just, you know, try playing the game.

Yeah, it´s costumes and stuff like that but it´s also level editor objects. For example, if you want to use a trampoline in the level editor you first have to find it in the game. At least that´s what a friend said.

Designing levels tends to be vastly more enjoyable than playing games so why should i go through all the trouble esspecially if i have to find all the stupid secrets?

This "you have to find level editor objects before you can use them " is the single most idiotic "feature" i´ve ever heard of in a game.

Never done it before so I'm not really sure. I'd assume you could just download to a USB stick and transfer through the PS3's file manager.

Little Big Planet got a lot of praise for its level design, if you like playing with it at all then I can't see how you wouldn't enjoy the professionally made levels. Also, they probably illustrate good ways to use the engine and toolset.

Indeed, utilizing the full extent of the editor requires collecting items from the story.

And Starglider, some of us don't want to play through the story in order to design levels. Having to do so is part of what turned me off LBP.

I´m not saying that i don´t want to play it at all. It looks like it´s great fun after all. But i don´t want to go looking for the extras before being able to use the level editor.
