Let's Play X-COM: UFO Defense
"Rise from your grave!"
Peptuck let the original X-COM LP thread die last year and after asking for his permission, I've decided to start things back up with a fresh start and continuing on through the whole game and onto TFTD. This is to get people who may be interested in being a part of the X-COM army & staff to get noticed and claim spots. I am taking for just about everything X-COM would ever need.
Feel free to do your own logs as well. Warhammer jokes never get old as we slaughter xenos scum In Nomine Imperator err, for the survival of Earth.

I would like to reprise my role as the robot tank driver.

I would happily give my name to any random soldiers who rapidly die in any number of painful ways.

This odyssey, this, exodus. Do we journey toward the promised land, or into the valley of the kings? Three decades ago I envisioned a new future for our species, and now that we are on the brink of realizing my dream, I feel only solitude, and regret. Has my entire life's work been a fool's crusade? Have I led my people into this desert, only to die?

Sign me and my legion of identical-but-different copies up, as either the cannon fodder or some random AI inside the tanks. You choose

Sign me up, preferably as some some kind of sniper guy.
Re: Let's Play X-COM: UFO Defense
Sure, throw my lame name in there too. The "Resident Bullet Catcher" position is fine with me.
Just thought I'd also suggest UFO:AI if you wanted some 3D action.

I request to reprise my role as guy-who-makes-things-blow-up, preferably with a rocket launcher.

Sign me up as that one first Sectoid or Floater who, inevitably, deems three feet of maize adequate protection against X-Com ordinance.

Sign me the hell up. I'll take whatever space is available, but I'd prefer something on the ground, with a gun.

I'm happy with the gruntwork, but if you need a tank driver I can happily bluff my way through the driving test.

If you got room for a nobody, I'd like being a tank driver. Poor mook will do in any other case.

I'm sure you'll be fine.

Re: Let's Play X-COM: UFO Defense
Oh yeah - and BTW, the more alien attacks we have, the less funding we'll give you, because clearly if you can't defend the entire earth from aliens with five million and some half blind, uncoordinated fools who we found drunk on a street corner, then it's YOUR fault, not ours.Nephtys wrote:As chairwoman of the UN Funding Committee, I am issuing you five MILLION DOLLARS to save the whole Earth from invasion by an alien menace of unknown power.
