Computer Software for Kids - Request

My daughter turns 5 in July and she is currently starting to look at computers at kindy. Sometimes when she has a tough question I'll go and Google it while she watches and she has a little Dora computer that plugs into my computer so she can use it. But that's about the extent of her experience.
So, does anyone know where I can get some good software that is 1) fun and 2) educational... in that order? I'd prefer it to be freeware, but I'll pay if there's something worth paying for. Also, she has a brother who is 3 in June and will try to interfere, so the only chances she'll get to use it will be 1-2 hour increments a few times a week. So, something that jumps straight to the fun would be preferable. She's a really girly-girl and loves numbers, but anything age appropriate would be great.
Any ideas?
Cheers.
